April McGee
April Hall is a proud member of Racing to Feed America, an annual community event & campaign dedicated to fighting hunger and making a lasting impact. Each year, she joins dozens of volunteers — many of whom are beloved family members — to serve meals, raise awareness, and bring hope to those in need.
For April, community service is more than a cause; it’s a shared family tradition. The joy of working side-by-side with parents, siblings, cousins, and friends makes each event feel like both a mission and a reunion. Their passion lies not only in helping others, but also in showing how powerful it can be when families come together for a common purpose.
Through Racing to Feed America, April continues to inspire others to give, connect, and believe in the difference one family — and one community — can make.
Spring Gant
Spring Gant was born in Flint, Michigan in 1973 and raised in Charlotte, NC. She attended Independence High School and graduated in 1991. She continued her education at Johnson C. Smith University, majoring in Business Management.
Spring put her business management skills to work and invested in herself by purchasing her own semi-truck and starting her trucking company, “Truck Her,” in 2019. She partnered with Rhonda Mapp’s trucking company, On the Mapp Trucking, where she learned about the operations of the trucking industry, ultimately earning her broker’s license and dispatch certification.
Being an owner-operator offers autonomy and the potential for high earnings but also demands entrepreneurial discipline, strong financial management, and resilience against the industry’s volatility. She has managed to be very successful throughout her years as an owner-operator.
Spring is a natural-born hustler! She completed barber school at No Grease in 2020 and has been giving back to the city of Charlotte for 13 years by helping Rhonda Mapp with her Kool Kutz Barbershop, offering free haircuts, organizing turkey giveaways, and supporting the Racing to Feed Asheville campaign. Spring has dedicated herself to helping young kids realize their dreams.
