At one of our summer meal programs, a young boy named Caleb approached the table holding his mother’s hand. As soon as he saw the tray of spaghetti and fresh fruit, his face lit up.

“Is this all for us?” he asked softly.
Caleb’s mother, who had been struggling to make ends meet, later shared that it had been days since Caleb had a full meal.
